Types of courses

Courses on offer are divided into year-long classroom courses, year-long blended-learning courses, single-semester courses and flexible courses. For information on the levels and languages in which they are available, please refer to the “Timetable” pages for each language.

Year-Long Classroom Courses (145 Hours)

These courses include 5 hours per week of lessons (two and a half hour sessions) from late September to mid-June:

  • DL Groups: Mondays and Wednesdays
  • DT Groups: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Year-Long Blended-Learning Courses (145 Hours)

These courses include a single two and a half hour lesson per week from the end of September until mid-June. The remaining hours out of the 145 in total will be carried out online using the Moodle platform.

Single Semester Courses (140 Hours)

These courses include 10 hours of lessons per week (two and a half hour sessions from Monday to Thursday). This allows students to take two courses in a single academic year:

  • 1st Semester: from late September to late January
  • 2nd Semester: from early February to mid-June

Flexible Courses (70 Hours)

Currently available only for Chinese (1st and 2nd years).

These courses include 5 hours of lessons per week (two and a half hour sessions).

  • DL Groups: Mondays and Wednesdays
  • DT Groups: Tuesdays and Thursdays

Students are able to take two courses in a single academic year:

  • 1st Semester: from late September to late January
  • 2nd Semester: from early February to mid-June

Current flexible groups are: 1st A, 1st B, 2nd A and 2nd B. The courses’ aims and syllabus correspond to half a year of any of the other courses previously described.
